Okay, Part II.
Where were we?
Right, Ginger clearing hurdles.
Well, she learnt that at this awesome country club where there's an agility training ground, a sand play, several dog runs, a man-made lagoon and a heated pool - ALL FOR DOGS.
Panoramic view from the canine country club.
The pool - kept at a constant temperature of 25°C.
Ginger frolicking in the man-made lagoon.
The beach is another place she loves to swim.
Ginger and her best friend Diane (part foxhound part beagle) at the Sentosa Tanjong Beach in Singapore before we brought her to Melbourne. I say best friend because Ginger has never played with another dog the way she played with Diane (so best-buddy-like type of play). :)
St Kilda Beach is where she hangs out with her friends now.
Right after a siesta on the beach.
Occasionally, we'd bring her to the Maribyrnong River.
And when she's not doing all that outdoorsy stuff, she's at home surfing the internet...
or sleeping...
You must be wondering, where is Lucy in all of these? Well, because Lucy only came to us a little over a year ago, I don't have quite as many photos of her as compared to Ginger who has been with us for eight years; but I do have a few special ones.
If you haven't met/heard about Lucy, she's a 10 year-old-year fox terrier from the pound. Her owners left her behind when they moved to another state. She was going to be put down because nobody wanted an old dog. Joe wanted to call her Maisie but i just couldn't name her after one of my best friends. It's just...I don't know. Wrong? :P
This was taken during one of our walks along the Yarra River. She's looking kinda sad here. Probably due to the head halter - both she and Ginger hate it. We love it cos it stops them from lunging. "You control the head, you control the whole body." The doggy instructor used to say. Ha!
Lucy's dog house. She loves it there. Refuses to come out sometimes when she's all snuggled up.
The agility tunnel used to frighten her. In fact, many things used to frighten her. We suspect she was abused previously by a male adult because she would pee when Joe carried her, but not when I picked her up. It took like 6 months(?) for her to overcome that fear.
This is one of my fav pic. She looks like she's grinning here. :)
But my all-time fav is still this. Awww. Look at them. :)
Caught in the act. Husband slept with a bitch! :p
What?! More than once?! :p
If you've made it to the end of this post, I salute you. One of my readers thinks my previous dog post is, and I quote, "So boring!" Thank you for your brutally honest feedback - you know who you are. Haha. Well, the reason I'm doing this is, like I mentioned in Part I, to create a convenient link to my dog photos for show-and-tell. The other reason is for myself. I realised there are not many days left of my dogs. Ginger is already 8, and Lucy, 10. If the average age of a dog is 12, I only have 4 years left with Ginger, and 2 with Lucy. In other words, about 200 weekends with Ginger, and 100 with Lucy. I'm hoping posts like these would capture some of the fond moments I have with them, and if you don't like it, just too bad cos IT'S MY BLOG! Haha. :p
And since you've made it this far, here's a couple more random ones. :)
Ginger and Pepper - one of my best friends' schnauzer.
And no, Pepper is NOT humping Ginger. She's just sitting on top of her.

Another one of my fav pic: Ginger at Southbank.
Taken at Cockatoo - a town some 2hrs from Melbourne.
At a park near our place.
And that's the end of Part II. :)
Till my next post!
